This vessel, which almost has the vertical balance of a human figure, is comprised of a wheel-thrown form and multiple layers of glaze. The colors show through and obscure one another at the same time such that, from afar, the vessel takes on a non-committal dappled hue— up close, the colors emerge full strength.
