This Xanadu vase consists of a stoneware base that has been glazed in a light mint green and modeled with thin and delicate striations in a darker shade. The wide base narrows into a separate, sculptural lid of patinated copper. This lid takes the form of a blooming flower, petals and stamens emerging from a ring of chiseled lily pads. The vase was crafted around the year 1930 by Patrick Nordstrom and Georg Thylstrup for Royal Copenhagen.
Marks: Painted in Cobalt Manufacturer's Waves Mark.
