Blue Speckled Vase

This vase demonstrates the high level of skills of Amphora ceramists in molding and glazing techniques. The ceramists added bas-relief effects and texture to a traditional vase shape by letting the dark blue glaze drip along the vertical surface of the vase. This creates the overall effect of a natural, organic structure, embellished by occasional silver glaze dots on the surface of the vase.
