Lotte Reimar’s Vessel with Three Holes consists of an egg shaped body placed on a flared foot and capped with a wide, mushroom-like rim. Both the shape of the vessel’s body and its rough, matte surface give the piece a primitive quality, reminiscent of early hand-built vessels fired in rudimentary kilns. The piece, in its mottled color scheme of green and brown and orange, gives the impression of a plant or other organic matter that has grown from its base.

Marks: Inscribed Artist's initials, 72.
