Soudbinine’s remarkable Art Deco ceramics are rare and highly prized. This unusual vase, of tapering trapezoidal form, is surrounded by carved serpents, giant fish, and a big cat, possibly a jaguar. Although Soudbinine was often influenced by Asian reliefs, here he appears to be drawing upon Mesoamerican sources.
