This porcelain Royal Copenhagen vase is done in the firm's traditional style, utilizing its yellow-brown and blue-green color schemes. In this case, long-limbed secretary birds, painted in a cool blueish-grey line the vase; their plumage is accented by the yellow-brown plants and vegetation that appear alongside them. The vase's shape is also indicative of the Japoniste style that Royal Copenhagen tended towards: fuller towards the bottom and narrower at the neck, with a slight flare at the lip of the vase.
