This superb vase designed by Alphonse Voisin-Delacroix for Pierre-Adrien Dalpayrat, is decorated in a sumptuous sang-de-boeuf glaze with areas of striated darkness. Its broad shoulder offers a place for the rich, delicious glaze pools that make Dalpayrat artwork so desirable. The cut in the shoulder lets the glaze flow over the side of the vase in a cascade of depth.
Marks: Impressed VD within Square (Voisin Delacroix).
