Made in partnership with Alphonse Voisin-Delacroix, this anatomic vase (representing a bone) was first shown in 1893. The vase is rendered mostly in a dark purple red with tiny dapples of blue. It features slight cream accents as well, primarily on the protruding bone-like features, as well as on the neck’s slanted rim. The vase, almost cylindrical at the top, becomes odd and skeletal only at the bottom.
