St. Lukas

St. Lukas Pottery was established in Utrecht by A. Enthoven, with G.D.J. Offernans as the art director. The firm's pottery included luster ware with decorations of plants, fish, insects and other natural forms. In later years, St. Lukas concentrated on metallic and textured surfaces. From c1927, after moving to Maarsen, the firm concentrated on earthenware in simple shapes with red, yellow or gray ground and decorated with horizontal stripes in black or stylized flowers in the same color as the ground.
