Boucheron - Historic - Jason Jacques Gallery

Boucheron is the most bold of traditional French jewelers. Founded in 1858 by Frédéric Boucheron, the jewelry and watchmaking company was the first one established on the famous Place Vendôme in Paris in 1893. The House of Boucheron has pioneered the use of new materials in its collections, and launched innovative products such as the wrist watch with interchangeable straps. For over 150 years Boucheron has had an international reputation as trendsetter in the elite world of high jewelry and goldsmith's work, some of which was cemented through the firm's participation in world's fairs. In 1878, the Russian Prince Felix Youssoupoff purchased a corsage ornament decorated with diamond bows during a visit to Paris. Czar Alexander III was also a client, as was his son Nicholas II. Queen Elizabeth of England has a collection of Boucheron jewels, as did Wallis Simpson the Duchess of Windsor. Prominent American families including the Astors, Vanderbilts, and Rockefellers, have turned to Boucheron for exceptional pieces of decorative art.
