Whisper

Painted with exceptional skill and detail, it appears that Serritella’s Whisper is a sculpture of a dead tree with a burnt trunk. Against all odds, Whisper is a stoneware sculpture. The arched composition of the tree, its twisted shape, and the four culminating branches suggest that Serritella insisted on creating an essentially aesthetic piece. The complex level of detail and Serritella's superior glazing technique contribute to making "Whisper" one of the artist's best works to date.
