Description

With two handles that resemble abstract elephant trunks and a craqueleur glaze, this bold vessel is all about heft and power. Its expressive shape and abstract glaze décor, in addition to the use of stoneware clay for artistic effect, are evidence of Japanese influence. A close examination of the surface reveals endless variations in thickness, blending, and veining. Marks: stamped rosary
