Description

Based in Marseille, Delanglade was one of the finest ceramists to follow in Massier's footsteps. This bottle-form vase is covered with a painted and etched thistle plant, whose flowers and leaves nearly cover the surface. Delanglade favored these allover plant motifs, which were executed in a more subdued color palette than most of Massier's lusterware.
Marks: Delanglade [glazed]
