Description

This large charger clearly pays homage to Asian design. In a palette of black, white and gray, the artist, Tchio-Slin (of Shanghai) has created the incised figure of a simplified stork or crane, enframed by the twisted branches of a flowering tree. The drawn figures are filled in with slips, which on the bird are further ornamented with lines depicting feathers. Marks: painted Atelier Montieres, artist's signature
