Description

The thin blue glaze that cascades down all sides of this fine flambé cabinet vase resembles clear water spilling over the rim. Thicker light-colored patches on the body have the curdled quality that continues to be greatly admired by ceramists. Lion was exceptionally inventive in his combination of colors and textures. Marks: inscribed artist's signature
