Description

Showing the influence of Japonism, this vase has an irregular surface and flambé glaze reminiscent of traditional Japanese tea bowls. It is further enriched with an assortment of insect images including moths, butterflies, and a prominent spider centered in an intricate slip-trailed web. Marked KG Luneville in glaze on the base.
