This robust bottle form vase designed and glazed by Jean Carriès, the sloping sides of the vase are covered in an sandy glaze a guilloche technique is used resulting diagonal impressions a set of lines of lines wavy lines on the beige glazed that drips down and covers the beautiful caramel marbled base. The overall effect is as if the Vase was hewn out of sandstone rock formation.
