This tri-handled vase is a lovely example of the Liberty Style in Italy, of which Galileo Chini was a leading figure. Hand-painted blue flowers and abstract motifs of the same palette constitute the main motifs of this elegant piece, whose overall shape is reminiscent of ancient Roman amphoras. The level of detail in painting, the glazing technique, and the varying shades of blue make this piece unique within Chini's oeuvre.
