Description

Pretty pink flowers and buds on thorny green stems traverse the hand-painted blue background of this charming tin-glazed earthenware vase. Chini worked in the Art Nouveau style but was also active in reviving the traditions of Italian majolica. The fact that this piece is marked "Firenze," suggests that it was made before 1902. Marks: painted manufacturer's mark, 114, C, Firenze.
