Description

This stunning vase designed by Galileo Chini c1906-1911 and created c1920, is richly decorated with hand-painted swirling designs and three stylized parrots feasting on pomegranate seeds. Leafy branches bearing split open pomegranates hang in front the majestic birds. The clever rendering carries their magnificent tale feathers into Art Nouveau scrolls. Marks: painted in blue, Mugello 2042
