Description

A dappled surface of turquoise and oxblood, created by the interaction of metals, gases, and intense heat, suggests a space-scape of the sort that was not familiar until the advent of the Hubble Space Telescope almost 100 years later. This is no coincidence given that the same metallic and gaseous elements that are at work in this vase and on earth in general, are also at work in space.
