The glimmering lines of a city on the sea emerge from behind the polychrome silhouette of a desert oasis in this captivating charger. Feverish oranges inflame the cooler washes of purple and blue to create a scene that seems almost like an infrared image. Both perspective and abstract iridescence reveal the true nature of the nineteenth century European fascination with the mysterious and exciting Near East.
