With a signature mark indicating the work was produced after 1945, this work displays a venture into odd color schemes uncharacteristic of the artist. The Masterwork vase has been colored with Expressionist-like blotches of rough glaze, in a palette of bright red and forest green intermingled with areas of green-ish grey on one side, and shades of red and purple on the other. There are suggestions of geometric forms in this mess of colors, sharp lines of black defining areas of color. The shape of the vase is similarly odd, tall and wide like a flat box. A multitude of small mouths perforate one face of this flattened cube.
