This simple, classic form is distinguished by a serene underwater scene of sea grass and stylized fish in shades of turquoise, blue, and flashes of purple. St. Lukas was established in 1909 in Utrecht by A. Enthoven and G.D.J Offermans, who acted as art director. The firm's pottery included lusterware developed by Offermans, with decoration of plants, fish, insects, and other natural forms. Production ceased in 1930.
