Delaherche’s Lucky Clover vase is extremely small and delicate at only about three inches wide. The surface of this miniature porcelain work has been covered with a glisteningly smooth layer of white glaze. Around the vase’s small neck and mouth, the artist has painted a motif of clovers in green, four repetitions of four lines emanating from small central dots. This delicate pattern is the vase’s only decoration, indicating the simplicity of its beauty.

Marks: Painted artist's cipher.
