Description

With its lavendar-blue glaze as sumptuous as silk chiffon, this vase is an elegant example of the organic style that is nearly synonymous with Art Nouveau. The surface is ornamented with sculpted arcs and subtle abstract elements that suggest flowers veiled beneath diaphanous fabric. Marks: incised E Lachenal sculpteur, peintre, ceramiste Chatillon prés Paris Seine 1903.
