Daguet created this low relief design with a combination of techniques, including repoussé, chasing, stamping and stippling. Even the large finishing nails employed to attach metal to wood are used to ornamental advantage. They are strategically placed to become part of the all-over design. Alfred Daguet fabricated his unique objects in the studio above Sigfried Bing's Maison L'Art Nouveau in Paris.
