This porcelain vase was produced in 1897 by Sèvres Porcelain Manufactory. With paintings by Henri Lasserre depicting a winter landscape, the white porcelain base is carefully painted with vegetative imagery in strong, geometric patterns. The vase rests in a silver-gilt plated mount, created by Cardeilhac. The two pieces come together to form one synergistic concept that emulates an "Imperial Winter."
