Description
This baluster-shaped porcelain vase is decorated with a carefully wrought wreath of slip-painted green leaves in the stylized Art Nouveau fashion. The leaves are embellished with incised golden lines that are also used to segment the body of the form. A series of diagonal strokes at the shoulder and foot add a sense of dynamism. The painting is attributed to J.van Lijnschoten. Marks: inscribed in gold, Delft Manufacturer's mark.
