Description

In this evocative composition, an applied snake winds around the body of a columnar form that suggests a section of an architectural ruin. The protrusion and undulations of the snake's body have created areas for the pearly background glaze to pool and drip, resulting in rivulets of shimmery gray that spill over the snake onto the lower part of the vase's body.
