Description

Octagonal at its base, the eight ribs of this intriguing vase remain visible for the entire length of the body. The resulting sections are encrusted with a coal-black glaze that has been removed at regular intervals to reveal stacks of glossy green crescents. Overall, the form suggests a tight cluster of tropical leaves. Marks: inscribed Martin Bros, London & Southhall, 67911
