Description

This porcelain vase from the factory of Theodore Haviland, Limoges, c. 1900, beautifully demonstrates Haviland's adoption of the plant-based vocabulary of Art Nouveau style. Three deeply-carved sinuous loop handles in the shape of plant stems extend from the neck to the shoulder, while painted floral decoration ornaments the body. Marks: Theodore Haviland, Limoges, France
