Squat and wide-bodied with concave sides and low, upwards-angled rim, the body of this bowl is decorated with green-brown lava glaze and an enamel frieze of pink five petal flowers, possibly clematis or orchids. The green-brown lava glaze is reminiscent of moss, which makes an attractive, if muted, background for the brightly colored enamel floral frieze.

Marks: Enamelled signature.
