Description

Warm red earthenware is revealed beneath a milky semi –translucent glaze, covered in a subtle rhythm of turquoise blooms. Laeuger used a technique of glaze application that allowed bleeding and dripping in the decoration, a primitivistic treatment of a sixteenth century Iznik floral motif. Marks: painted M.L., No. 2037.
