Description
This tall and slender vase is coated in a glaze that slowly metamorphoses from dark sea green at the bottom to cloudy opacity at the top. The overall mood is suspenseful, suggesting an indistinct horizon on an overcast day. Dispersed spontaneously over the surface are tiny sparkling crystals, an effect pioneered by Sévres.
