Description

A fantastic icy landscape, suggested by a crystalline glaze of white, gray, and pale turquoise, unfolds on the surface of this cylindrical vase. When viewed from a short distance, the decoration evokes a wintry forest beneath an intensely azure sky. From a closer vantage point, the viewer may see instead a filigree of frost upon a windowpane.
