Photography cannot do justice to the complexity of the glaze on this remarkable ceramic masterpiece. The luster varies from 'Persian' turquoise to pink, red, green, gold, and every tone in between. An active world of shrimp, seaweed, and other sea life, depicted by etching and painting, thrives just beneath the surface.
