From Thursday, January 21 until Monday, January 25, the Miami Beach Convention Center hosted more than 800 dealers displaying their most impressive wares. There, in the company of lovely Italian paintings, restrained Danish silverware, and simple country breadboxes, Jason and Yoni (booths 702-703) showed the gallery's dazzling and brainy collection of European Art Nouveau and Japonist pottery.
Among the treasures that Jason brought south were sumptuous examples of Lucien Lévy-Dhurmer luster-glazed pottery. We think that Lévy's work, inspired by the natural surroundings of the French Riviera where he created them, is especially relevant to the similarly festive atmosphere and sunny climes of the Côte-d'Miami. He also showed distinctive Viennese designs by architect Karl Klaus for the Ernst Wahliss company, representing the fin de siècle at its most refined, and the robust work of Adrien Dalpayrat, which adds a downright muscular element to the collection. Work by other famed ceramists will fill out the booth, which will also feature a few surprise pieces that Jason has yet to reveal.
We hope you attended and enjoyed the show.
